MILLENNIA EST. 2017Formed under one guiding principal - to empower new heroes.

We know that diverse perspectives lead to better solutions. But building a diverse team is only the beginning. We seek to build creative teams that foster collaboration and equality between team members, clients, and the communities in which we work.

Millennia’s first project, a three-hour docuseries made for the Discovery Channel, told the story of a sea captain from Mumbai who traveled to the South China Sea with a ship’s crew from twelve different countries. The captain intended to locate, stop, and arrest a notorious group of ships that were using forced labor to poach sharks, dolphins, and swordfish. Eschewing the traditional network model of who should be on a film crew, Millennia built a new crew that mirrored the incredible diversity, range of experience, and charisma of the ship’s crew.

To do this, we built relationships with universities, film programs, and non-profits, and leveraged our deep connections in the entertainment industry to empower our producers to hire people not because they had years of experience doing one thing, but because they represented diverse perspectives, emerging creative voices, and had their own unique stories to tell. Today, we continue building on the guiding principals we used to build this crew by finding and developing new heroes both on and off screen.

We strive to create a safe space that provides clear communication, world-class creativity, and inclusion.

Every member of the Millennia team is personally accountable for connecting with and developing the best creative partners, regardless of their race, sexual orientation, religion, age, gender, disability status or any other dimension of diversity – and to elevate voices that have long been quieted. By creating space for an equity-centered approach, we all rise together.
